WHO AM I?
My name is Tomas. For more than four years I've been teaching Spanish. The work as a Spanish teacher gives me plenty of joy and personal satisfaction. In the last few years I've been improving my skills and my objective is constant enrichment, so that I can provide the best classes possible to my students and help them to facilitate the hard process of learning a completely new language.
The methodology created by me is based on a communicative approach (CLT). It is an effect of my experience, training and conversations with my colleagues, also teachers. I've been improving my way of teaching for over three years now, and I'm satisfied with the progress my students make. The techniques I use are based on constant interaction. Presented vocabulary, expressions and grammar structures are perfected by participants in various activities with dialogues, real life situations, asking questions and adapting material we are working with the actual students' needs. After the mentioned set of exercises students run over the material and without any effort use it during next class, making progress step by step.
The main advantages of my approach are high efficiency and entertaining form of classes. Practiced material is studied individually by students at home. Individual learning consists of a set of exercises related to the things we've made during our session, so a student can achieve a maximum of efficiency.
The materials I use in class either come from real life or they simulate real sources (articles, letters, dialogues, songs, TV programs etc.), that are related to the vocabulary we are currently working with, so they (my students) can feel that they're experiencing a situation really close to living abroad and practicing the language in real life situations.
